  1. The title of this thread is misleading. Should say 'favorite' instead of 'best'.
  2. My custom folders/files were missing after I installed 2.05 today. First time that's ever happened to me. I added them back and they're staying put.
  3. Sorry, but what's significant about version 3 over version 2? Is it mostly a lot of 'under the hood' stuff? I don't see any glaringly obvious features or changes for such a jump as far as what the masses will be expecting. This seems more like a version 2.5 than a 3.0, if anything.
  4. Where can I find the portable (non-installing) version of FF3? Thanks.
  5. Bad move. The beta is a pain in the butt. He should stick with 8.1.0.421.
  6. Mine hasn't changed lately either: Antivir PE, Spywareblaster, AVG Antispyware, Superantispyware, Comodo BOClean, Firefox with Adblock Plus, and a hardware firewall.
  7. Seems to have no significance if you can see her going different directions at different times. What can you conclude?
  8. Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 They rock like a SOB. Hope she (and you) likes it loud.
  9. Ha ha Germany You know pops is all over that beer.

    Fire Fox

Hey ridgely, what happened to the fanboy filter? We shouldn't have seen that post at all.

    Fire Fox

Firefox shouldn't impact or be impacted by any of those.
  12. Dennis, you're correct - I missed it. Per their site, the ask.com toolbar was added in the most recent version of FW. It's harmless and easy to uninstall so no harm done. The preview function not working is a bug in the most recent version, per FW's support forum. They're working on it. No show-stopper complaints yet. I'll use it for a while and see what happens.
  13. I installed Frostwire this morning. It did an uninstall if Limewire during its own install, which was ok. It somehow added an ask.com toolbar, which wasn't ok. I didn't notice it as an optional item during install. It may have been in the TOS section. Otherwise, so far so good. It certainly seems faster, both with search results and with download speeds. I didn't set up any A/B test to confirm this. The only problem was I couldn't preview any song with my default player that was still being downloaded. The option was there, but it wouldn't respond.
  14. More like nekkid and oozing.

    2.00.500

Definitely slower here than 1.x on my Win2k PC. However, I've had bigger problems.
  16. One does have to use common sense with what gets downloaded. If you're downloading programs (coughcrackscough) and videos (coughporncough), you're almost asking for trouble. I just download music.
  17. Thanks, but what is the appeal of Frostwire? They don't contrast it against Limewire on their website or in their user forum (that I could find). I could try it myself, but I can't tell if it would end up being more redundant than worthwhile.
  18. I'm a Limewire user. Is there any advantage to using Frostwire instead? Best I can tell from FW's site is: You get the equivalent of LW Pro's extra features. There is no difference in the filtering method. Can someone spell out the other differences? Thanks.
  19. Second what Dennis said: Buy a headset. It's easier for you to manage, and your voice will sound better to those listening.
  20. This may be old news but it's news to me: They're selling several of their AMD-based PC's at Walmart.
