billdietrich
Using CCleaner free v5.28.6005 (64-bit), it stops somewhere near the various Store apps and just gives a "CCleaner stopped working" dialog. No error code or other message, not a crash. Is there some log function I can turn on to see exactly where it's failing, and send that to Piriform ? Moderators hazelnut Posted March 18, 2017 Moderators Share Posted March 18, 2017 Try running ccleaner with debug switch and upload log here (you may need to zip it first) or copy and paste relevant area when it stops working. http://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/troubleshooting/running-ccleaner-in-debug-mode Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
Moderators Nergal Posted March 18, 2017 Moderators Share Posted March 18, 2017 Also if you have firefox uncheck Mozilla -> compact databases ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
