No we are not dead :)

Win 10 has been released only one week, and sometimes there are small issues which happen with new operating systems.

Piriform will no doubt sort things.

Have patience :)

Hi, are you seeing these files present in the path immediately after running cleaning? After some quick tests I can see that those particular files are being recreated as soon as CCleaner has cleaned them. They are log files, so very possible that something is writing them back once CCleaner has been run.

Ccleaner comes out on a regular monthly basis. Not only that but I imagine you think that software developers are magical and just by reading a "bug" can fix it immediately, they aren't. They are human beings.

That said I still see no bug here. I see relatively the same exact registry entries I saw in 7 and 8

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

Luca B there is no need for you to keep posting in the way that you are.

The devs are aware of these posts and Ccleaner has a new build at the end of each month .

So please wait patiently and stop making these attention grabbing posts such as ''no fix yet..astonishing...'' and also constantly writing the word BUG in capital letters.

As MrV mentioned, CCleaner is behaving correctly. The files are being instantly re-created as soon as CCleaner deletes them.

After some quick tests I can see that those particular files are being recreated as soon as CCleaner has cleaned them. They are log files, so very possible that something is writing them back once CCleaner has been run.

If you don't want them to keep appearing, then right-click > Add to Exclude List. However that does mean that CCleaner will never clean them, even when there is information in them.

or to put it another way, it's not a bug  (nor is it a BUG ;) )

If those files are deleted by CCleaner then instantly recreated by win 10, the practical result is that they are "cleaned".

That is, they are still there, but contain no information.

Do I understand that correctly?

The other situation might be that win 10 recreates them with all the current information, in which case CCleaner did not clean them.

The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-)

Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers.

Did you not read what MrJ (one of the Piriform admins) said in the posts just above yours?

in the past has already happened with other prog

and ccleaner WAS always able to fix the bug

so we expect the same now

It is not a bug.

The files are being re-created after CCleaner has cleaned then.

then you need to deal with it on your PC with EXCLUDE's.

when two admin staff are basically saying there is nothing wrong with CC, it is behaving as expected, then it is really a moot point what you want to happen.

..Forum -regular-..hope till the time in which ccleaner was able to simply FIX it...

cause if yr frequentation here is so regular and yr remembering isn't faulty you should admit that in the past has already happened this case..

and as said the dev's tool were ALWAYS able to FIX..

so now WHY NOT..??

Still hasn't even been a month...me thinks you are impatient at best, or, at worst, unwilling to see that, for some, this is something that, for various entries, happens and has in past versions of both ccleaner and Windows and that it is easy enough to exclude an entry you know is either impossible or impractical to remove. More/constant noise does not make your point any more/less relevant than it was in your 1st post

Please stop posting in this manner.

You have made your feelings known and the devs are aware of the issue.

So just wait patiently like everyone else is doing and stop complaining in every post you make.
