are %commonappdata% and %pictures% something special that winapp2.ini can handle or are they new system variable I'm not familar with?

as portable can be found anywhere and (usually) have no registry keys, it is not possible to create general public cleaning rules for portable programs. As my portable drive is always the same letter on my computer I can run my own portable app cleaning, however my rules wouldn't work for you.

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

note there's a great difference between "portable programs" and "portableapps" (besides that one of them is a brand name ;) ) Most applications from PortableApps (John Haller) cleanup after themselves after Exit (and keep the data in the application's folder)

as far as PortableApps programs Portable Firefox and Portable Chrome, there is a solution in custom location. As I said, any other portable programs would depend on the user. Yes most portable programs have an installed version, and thus could be converted within a personal winapp2, for PortableApps most already have entries and (until custom location is universal) can be made by a users via ccleaner's export command. Imho inclusion of PA should not happen unless there's no corresponding internal clean

They're built into ccleaner

CommonAppData points to \all users\application data and \program data\

pictures points to my pictures

any chance the first post in this thread can be updated to include all the environment variables CCleaner recognises?

Should that possibly be renamed, since it's also for FileKey?

From:

DetectFile paths

To:

DetectFile and FileKey paths

--------------------

Edit:

These are missing from it, that is if CCleaner supports them:

%SystemDirectory%

%SystemDirectory32%

%SystemDirectory64%

%RootDir%

Does this still work? If so it's identical to %HomeDrive% and %SystemDrive%

--------------------

One question:

Is it: %Videos% (plural), or %Video% ?
