Here's some I've never submitted before in TwistedMetal's winapp2.ini, and since this winapp2.ini is very active I'll submit them here. You can put the asterisk in the program header/name wherever you wish so it's not seen as a default app cleaned by CCleaner.

[NVIDIA (Play On My TV)]
; Removes the NVIDIA "Play On My TV" shell extension for .AVI, .MPG, .MPEG, and .WMV
; video files. The shell extension isn't necessary if you don't output to a TV!
LangSecRef=3023
Detect=HKLM\Software\NVIDIA Corporation
Default=False
RegKey1=HKCR\AVIFile\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\PlayOnMyTV
RegKey2=HKCR\mpegfile\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\PlayOnMyTV
RegKey3=HKCR\WMVFile\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\PlayOnMyTV
RegKey4=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\AVIFile\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\PlayOnMyTV
RegKey5=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\mpegfile\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\PlayOnMyTV
RegKey6=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\WMVFile\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\PlayOnMyTV

[NVIDIA (Startup)]
; Removes a registry key automatically created by the installation of NVIDIA Display Driver
; that starts NvMediaCenter when Windows does. The startup isn't necessary!
LangSecRef=3023
Detect=HKLM\Software\NVIDIA Corporation
Default=False
RegKey1=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run|NvMediaCenter

Hello,

I just installed the most recent winapp2.ini. Thanks for that.

I am just curious, what the difference is of "UltraISO 5, 6,7,8 and 9".

I could only find version 9.3.6.275O, whitch is registered as /5.

Further, is it maybe possible to add the following entry's in the next release of the winapp2.ini.

[AnyDVDHD]

LangSecRef=3024

Detect=HKCU\Software\SlySoft\AnyDVD

Default=True

FileKey1=%userprofile%\Documents\AnyDVD_logs|*.*

[Newsleecher*]

LangSecRef=3021

DetectFile=%userprofile%\Application Data\Newsleecher\Backups

Default=True

FileKey1=%userprofile%\Application Data\Newsleecher\Backups|*.*

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Noedels.

Can someone, PLEASE, create an Entry for cleaning the following index.dat files?

The Following in your list are already cleaned

Index.dat Checkbox

%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\PrivacIE\index.dat
%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\PrivacIE\Low\index.dat
%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\IECompatCache\Low\index.dat
%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\IETldCache\Low\index.dat

History Checkbox

%localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows\History\Low\History.IE5\index.dat
%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\IEDownloadHistory\index.dat

maybe others too, I'm sure, but most of my Serviceprofile indexes were empty and would be useless (maybe harmful: unknown) to delete as the would just regenerate. Most of them hadn't even been touched since my install of windows (esp the system\config) and all of the serviceprofiles and system\config required my editing of file permissions to even view them. I almost feel like you just told windows to find anything called index.dat

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

I suggest updating the [DVDCSS*] section as follows:

[DVDCSS*]
LangSecRef=3023
DetectFile=%APPDATA%\dvdcss\.
Default=False
FileKey1=%APPDATA%\dvdcss|*.*|REMOVESELF
FileKey2=%USERPROFILE%\.dvdcss|*.*|REMOVESELF

Reasons:

  • Not only VLC media player but also xine-based players and MPlayer use the libdvdcss library.
  • So it might be safer to check for the folder "dvdcss" itself, instead for VLC.
  • The folder "%USERPROFILE%\.dvdcss" isn?t cleaned using the existing version.

Below is code for cleaning registry backups in TuneUp Utilities 2011

[TuneUp Utilities 2011 (Registry Backups)**]
LangSecRef=3024
Detect=HKCR\.tu2011Code
Default=False
FileKey1=%AppData%\TuneUp Software\TU2011\Backups|*.rcb

The existing TuneUp Utilities code in Winapp2.ini should be modified.

[TuneUp Utilities (Registry Backups)*]
LangSecRef=3024
DetectFile=%AppData%\TuneUp Software\TuneUp Utilities
Default=False
FileKey1=%AppData%\TuneUp Software\TuneUp Utilities\Backups|*.rcb

Or I suppose you could combine these as:

[TuneUp Utilities (Registry Backups)*]
LangSecRef=3024
Detect=HKCU\Software\TuneUp
Default=False
FileKey1=%AppData%\TuneUp Software\TuneUp Utilities\Backups|*.rcb
FileKey2=%AppData%\TuneUp Software\TU2011\Backups|*.rcb

No, I did something else!

1) I scanned with Index.dat Suite,

2) cleaned with CCleaner & Rebooted,

and

3) re-scanned with Index.dat Suite

I was amazed by the Number of Index.dat files Index.dat Suite found; files that CCleaner missed!

Tirminal is a free file transfer application that uses their servers to sync the transfer process. The application creates ZIP files and leaves these in its AppData directory consuming a lot of disk space.

This is the Winapp2 entry I created to delete these files:

[Tirminal]

LangSecRef=3021

Detect=HKCU\Software\Tirminal

Default=False

FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\Tirminal|*.zip

I would appreciate it if this were added to the official Winapp2 file.

<CCEnhancer updated now, so no need to manually download if you have it set to receive updates>

Here is a small entry that I made to test the Easy WinApper program. I would improve the environmental variables but I'm in a hurry to get to work.

[*More Adobe Updater]

LangSecRef=3021

DetectFile=%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Adobe\Updater6\AdobeUpdaterPrefs.dat

Default=False

FileKey1=%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Adobe\Updater6|acrobatPI.log

FileKey2=%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Adobe\Updater6|aum.log

FileKey3=%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Adobe\Updater6|aumLib.log

I'm Shane.
