d2b
This information is not readily available, if at all, when considering a purchase of CCleaner Pro. So I will ask these questions. First some background: I have 4 engineering workstations in my personal home office and one HP business-grade notebook for portability. I am the only user of all of these. Each is configured for a different specialized use. I could not find any information on what I would actually get if I bought CCleaner Pro. Is it only for 1 computer or one user? Is it an outright purchase or a 1-year limited subscription. I am not about to pay ~$125 a year for a program that I might choose to use once every few months on one or maybe all of these machines. I'd much rather purchase a single installation that I can put on a thumb drive and use at will to occasionally fine-tune performance. After all, beyond that role, it doesn't give me any additional functionality. It would be nice to have, but considering the short lifetime for state-of-the art computers (not much more than 3 year nowadays), I need to know what I'm buying when I add optional software like this. So, what are my options? Thanks... "d2b"
Moderators mta Posted March 22, 2017 Moderators Share Posted March 22, 2017 in case you couldn't find it, there is this; https://piriform.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/204044434-How-long-is-my-license-valid-for- and this; http://www.piriform.com/legal/software-license/ccleaner-professional and a recent response from Admin here; https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=47311&p=277831 in short, Pro gives you 1 license for one PC, priority support lasts for 1 year but the product still stays on the Pro level. so from a cleaning perspective, it's a one-time payment (confusing I know). Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
