MTP data transfer protocol?

Hi guys and thanks in advance!

Sorry about my English.

I purchased a Nikon coolpix L120's camera. When my HDD stopped working I lost all my pictures.

Unfortunately I also delete all files on my camera.

I have had problems trying to use this program to recover files. Windows 7 recognizes my camera as a portable device. I mean, this operating system read my camera as hardware .

It only appears on devices and printers in the control panel. In the same place where are the keyboard and mouse....

Thank of this, Recuva is not be able to "find" my camera, because only show HDDs in my computer

Then, searching the internet I learned that the problem was the data transfer protocol. In my case, the memory of my camera is not being read as a mass storage device.

Instead of this, Windows read my camera with its Media transfer protocol (MTP).

Obviously I read the Nikon's manual and have sought support elsewhere without result.

Thanks for reading, I hope I have been clear with the problem posted

Have you tried purchasing a USB media card reader that will work with your camera card?

It usually works much better trying to recover files on it that way, than from your camera connected to your PC.

I know what you mean, in my case my camera does not have a memory card inserted, so the photos are stored in the internal memory.

I'm sure if I use a memory card would solve the problem of data transfer protocol, but ... What about the photos I deleted from the internal memory of my camera?

I've never tried (nor even heard of it) but, via a cursory look, it looks safe

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

Try -> http://www.cgsecurit...g/wiki/PhotoRec Freeware & some claim success with it.

Also -> http://www.z-a-recov...om/download.htm Trial, but has free image recovery function & some claim success with that, as well.

Worth a try...
