Moderators mta Posted July 20, 2017 Moderators Share Posted July 20, 2017 what is your OS and CC versions? any reason that comes to mind as to why they would have been excluded from the initial search of dup files? did you include the drive they are on?, are they hidden?, zipped?... just throwing ideas out there. how are they duplicated, name?, date?, actual image? Moderators DennisD Posted July 20, 2017 Moderators Share Posted July 20, 2017 Hi Perry. Just a thought. Do you have all your photos backed up in some other location before you start deleting duplicates? Just in case a duplicate which isn't is deleted. Perish the thought, but best to play safe if we're talking about personal data.
Moderators mta Posted July 21, 2017 Moderators Share Posted July 21, 2017 from the little I've dabbled with Photo Gallery, just make sure your aren't seeing thumbnails. I think those sort of photo library organisers keep your physical photo in it's original location but then go on to make thumbnails of them all so they can be re-catalogued into 'albums' and the like. aussie perry
G'day, I copied all the phots onto an external drive and was able to remove the duplicated ones with CC. There was not as many as I thought. So all is good now. I will class this problem as being solved. Thank you all for your help. Mohli
Hi, I thought the deleted duplicates were sent to the recycle bin but it doesn't appear to be so. I checked for a program folder too that they might have been sent to but haven't found one yet. Comments welcome but I guess I should have started a new topic, sorry! Thank you Moh
