Removing CCLEANER from STARTUP

You may have noticed that if you remove CCLEANER from STARTUP by using Task manager or CCLEANER itself, it always comes back. The solution is to go into CCLEANER --> Options --> Monitoring then uncheck 'enable system monitoring' and 'active monitoring'.

This is essential if you use satellite broadband and CCLEANER! Somewhat annoyingly, CCLEANER does not recognize 'metered connection' in windows 10 and turn itself off from the internet, a bug that needs fixing.

What the option should ideally be is: 'updates' divided into two columns 'unmetered', 'metered'. Under each it should have a drop down: 'never perform update check', 'check for updates and warn', 'check for updates and auto-install'. There should be an additional check box 'check for updates when launched'. That way you can run ccleaner on your yacht / plane (whatever...) even when you are miles away!

Ccleaner isn't using the internet except for checking if there's a new build.

It also seems obvious to me that if you have monitoring turned on, the program will start with Windows

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

To remove more recent versions of Ccleaner from startup:

Monitoring was renamed "smart cleaning." If that's on, Ccleaner will put itself into startup. If you go to Options, Smart Cleaning, and uncheck the Enable line, CC will remove itself from startup (as long as you have already unchecked "run at startup" from Options, Settings).
