Hello There!

Please refer to the enclosed Pictorial description, & help suggest on the Redundant entries which can be comfortably done away with !

Column Key has 4 categorizations viz. Directory, Drive, File, Folder !

Why are there entries under each of these? & Which ones should I put to rest?

Thanks.

they all refer to the Context Menu, the list of options you see when you right click.

and that list varies depending on what you right click on, say a file or a folder or a drive.

so you can remove whatever program you no longer what to be shown in the Context Menu for the type of item you right click on.

the problem with supplying assertive answers is, what works for me may not be best for you.

there is no right or wrong here.

the thing with PC's is that first letter - Personal.

but for my two cents worth, for example that Foxit Convert to PDF option when right clicking on a file, I would never use that so would remove it.

also, if you only ever WinZip a file from right clicking it, and never a folder, then the folder WinZip entry could be removed.

basically, I'd leave it alone.  and I'd only even consider 'cleaning up' the Context Menu if it was getting ridiculously long.

wise man :)

one of the ways PC's tend to die (for me at least back in the glory days) was one would tinker just that little too much and break Windows.
