sweat-cleaner
Oops, another strange behavior i encountered in Ccleaner. While removing a bunch of Cookies,i scanned my PC to see what happens when a certain operation (in this case deleting Cookies with Ccleaner) is performed on my computer.I was very surprised to find out that Ccleaner removes Cookies from a backup of my files on an external Drive,I don't think it's supposed to do that, but only clean the cookies on the hard drive of my computer.I hope of being taken more seriously than the last time when reporting the not backing up Registry bug in Ccleaner ! sc
Moderators hazelnut Posted July 8, 2016 Moderators Share Posted July 8, 2016 (Just a quick thought here, never keep your external drive permanently attached. Things like Ransomware love that.) Are you still using Windows 8? What are you using to make the backup? sweat-cleaner
I'm still, very much, to my disliking, using win8, as a matter of fact, it's the end of the line regarding the Windows operating system, wich has become as horrible as a nightmare !My concern goes out to the fact that the scan shows that CCleaner cleans cookies in the folder : "C:\Windows\System32\Network Folder\FC-BU 650 ) Backup van C op 04-07-2016 ( Windows 8 - ASUS X75A )\Users\User\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\6npcwxph.default\cookies"What backup program i use is of no importance here.
