PeterBradford
Although I have Internet Explorer 'disabled' (I only use Edge) I'm now seeing a summary of cleaned Internet Explorer files, always the same file path and always the same size. (screenshot attached). Previously, I've always seen that all files have been securely cleaned - is this a glitch in the latest version, please? Moderators mta Posted May 22, 2017 Moderators Share Posted May 22, 2017 when you double click on that IE entry, what is the file it always finds? PeterBradford
It's always this file...just won't go away no matter how many times I run CCleaner...(previous versions have always cleaned everything).
Moderators Andavari Posted May 22, 2017 Moderators Share Posted May 22, 2017 It's Windows 10, as soon as you clean some stuff with CCleaner it will almost immediately be re-downloaded. One thing I found is to go into Settings, and start turning Off allot of the Privacy settings which are all On by default - doing that alone helps stop allot of the stuff being added back in after cleaning. Moderators mta Posted May 22, 2017 Moderators Share Posted May 22, 2017 and to help turn off almost all of Win10's 'phone home' settings, a program called ShutUp10 provides access to all those settings from one location.
