PeteAmend
Allow us to create a white list (folder list to do) and a black list (folders to exclude). Have check box for doing just that folder or all subfolders. I want to daily do certain folders like Outlook and often used folders (like games I play), as well as all their subfolders. On the other hand, there are certain folders that are just junk files and I want to ALWAYS skip them. It would be wonderful to set up certain folders (and their subfolders) to be done on a schedule. Moderators Nergal Posted February 14, 2017 Moderators Share Posted February 14, 2017 I have no idea if it's possible but I'm going to +1 this suggestion, I like it ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators Andavari Posted February 14, 2017 Moderators Share Posted February 14, 2017 It's possible to defrag only certain files or folders by using the included command line version: df.exe Basically you'd create a batch file (*.bat, *.cmd) of what you want df.exe to defrag, then you don't have to sit through a whole defrag of everything. See here: http://www.piriform.com/docs/defraggler/advanced-usage/command-line-parameters/
Moderators mta Posted February 14, 2017 Moderators Share Posted February 14, 2017 sounds like something along the lines of INCLUDE and EXCLUDE in CC. I like it. you can sort of do it now in DF (little longer winded though)... Click on File List tab, Analyse, sort by Path, find your folder, right click it, select Highlight Folder, right click any of the now highlighted rows, either click Move to End or Defrag Highlighted. Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
