AlexR
When I scan for issues I get 12 issues related to invalid firewall rules. if I delete the entries, windows and my Symantec software are not pleased... all sorts of traffic being blocked by Symantec. restoring the registry solves the issues. windows firewall is off and endpoint is on --- why is ccleaner showing these errors if my system has not changed over the past three years?? Moderators Nergal Posted May 6, 2016 Moderators Share Posted May 6, 2016 So it seems the result is don't remove rules you aren't comfortable are invalid. Ccleaner (all registry "fixers") is just making educated guess as to which is valid or not, it is up to the user to know. Please read my signature below this post ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
