StanfordAlan
Does anyone know if Recuva can read and rescue a Mac-formatted drive? If not, do you have a suggestion? I have access to both Windows and Mac machines, but with need to borrow the PC. Hence, my question. Thanks!

Moderators DennisD Posted July 23, 2016 Moderators Share Posted July 23, 2016 (edited) Hi StanfordAlan, and welcome to the forum. Have a look at "TestDisk" and "PhotoRec". Sister programs in the same download. TestDisk: Operating systemsTestDisk can run under DOS (either real or in a Windows 9x DOS-box), Windows (NT4, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, 2008, Windows 7 (x86 & x64), Windows 10 Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, SunOS and MacOS X PhotoRec: Operating systemsPhotoRec runs under DOS/Windows 9x Windows NT 4/2000/XP/2003/Vista/2008/7/10 Linux FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD Sun Solaris Mac OS X PhotoRec can do a lot more than image recovery. They both look at first glance like command line but aren't. They have a structured menu system to follow and are very powerful. Take note and use the extensive guides and helpfiles. And of course they have a forum ... TestDisk & PhotoRec forum: Being a windows user, these are the only cross platform programs I have experience with. Hope that helps and good luck.
