Edcannady
Hi! I work at Fox Television and our IT security team has flagged the latest version of Ccleaner as having security holes in it and I was forced to revert to an older version at work. Are you aware of this and when do you think it will be corrected? Thanks, Ed
Moderators Nergal Posted September 22, 2017 Moderators Share Posted September 22, 2017 The was a security flaw (backdoor trojan) in the ccleaner 5.33 executable. The current version is 5.35 it is virus free. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
