eugcyb16 Posted September 17, 2017 Share Posted September 17, 2017 HELP Tried the latest update and could not install it and could nor run previous version installed. I keep getting this message "Error opening file for writing" Tried uninstalling with windows and I thought it worked, but not. I am running a windows 10 PC. Previous version 5.3 worked fine, update was 5.4.Tried to remove from windows program files but wouldn't let me. bizee57 Posted September 18, 2017 Share Posted September 18, 2017 I have uninstalled my 5.33 version of CCleaner and updated to 5.34, as a new update was shown to be available. I had no problems with my 5.33 at this time. I used RevoUninstaller to remove CCleaner. So I then went to the Piriform website and installed latest CCleaner 5.34 and my Malwarbytes found trojan.nyetya and quarantined it. I uninstalled 2 more times and reinstalled and same thing happening. I even tried your link to the latest version and still get trojan.nyetya getting quarantined. Now what?
