nerfmaste
It always says that it's complete, not matter what settings and search parameters I've selected, when there are clearly duplicate files within the folders.
Moderators hazelnut Posted September 13, 2015 Moderators Share Posted September 13, 2015 It would be better if you posted a bit more info Which operating system are you using? Which build version of Ccleaner ? Are you following the steps here? https://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/using-ccleaner/finding-duplicate-files/using-the-file-finder (be aware that you must always take great care using the duplicate file finder) Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com

Moderators hazelnut Posted September 13, 2015 Moderators Share Posted September 13, 2015 If it were me on Windows 10 I wouldn't use the duplicate file finder. Moderators Nergal Posted September 13, 2015 Moderators Share Posted September 13, 2015 If it were me on Windows 10 I wouldn't use the duplicate file finder. Others may have a different opinion My opinion concurs with hazelnut's. Duplicate finder should only be used to remove things like mp3 or pics. With Win10 this is all more so true. There must, as far as your initial question, be something between the "duplicates" you are observing that is, either by ccleaner or reality, perceived as different. nerfmaste
Yeah, that's what I was trying to use them for. Nothing would show up, it would just say that it was complete. [Moderated]

PRDIGM
This may be an old topic but I am still getting the very annoying and frustrating "File search has completed" running on Windows 7. The only time it works is when searching from the root directory. Then I get 1000s of files I am not interested in cleaning up just now. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enny Wunatall
I can't put it any better than PRDIGM who, two years ago, posted: "This may be an old topic but I am still getting the very annoying and frustrating "File search has completed" running on Windows 7.
