jol
I am wondering what Defraggler will do with cloned blocks like used when creating a new virtual hard disk as a clone of existing hard disk (or chain) on a ReFS volume. In that case, the blocks are cloned into the new virtual hard disk and thus reused in both (or more) files. Obviously deframentation cannot optimize allocation of both files without "uncloning" the reused blocks, which is however expensive in both space and time. What is actually done? Are cloned blocks just not considered? copied? Or should one avoid defragmenting ReFS volumes that use cloned blocks? Thanks Joachim
