Super Fast
Try using http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec to recover the photos & see if you have the same result. If it is able to view the photos, then there is some work that needs to be done to Recuva. If it is not, then it may be that the pictures have been overwritten or damaged beyond recovery in a usable state.
Moderators Nergal Posted September 2, 2012 Moderators Share Posted September 2, 2012 superfast while I do appreciate you're trying to help, but in the future leave it to moderators to suggest alternative softwares, else it starts a bad precedent for other members thanks ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Moderators DennisD Posted September 4, 2012 Moderators Share Posted September 4, 2012 This may be a long shot, but IrfanView can display damaged images where other software fails. But I'll emphasise it depends on the condition of the files, it can't work it's magic on everything. IrfanView: If IrfanView can display any of your faulty images, then save each of them off from within IrfanView as a new image. I would also have a look at SF's suggestion above as "PhotoRec" scans for files in a way unique to itself (apparently), and is maybe worth a shot. Probably a long shot, but again worth a try.
