I have version 5.19.5633 installed and it will not clear Google Chromes history. I was signed in and I also have the box unchecked for continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed. Is there anything else to do ? thanks

Being signed in allows google to collect and store your history, which is then replaced in any chrome you sign into.

Perhaps you actually meant you are not signed on, but that's not what you said so I'm not going to assume that

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

When I am looking at gmail I am signed into gmail and I am using the chrome browser. When I run CCleaner Google Chrome is closed. The last time I ran CCleaner it did not clear any of my browsing history in Google Chrome. Am I doing something wrong? I just installed a new version of CCleaner today. What should I do to clear my browsing history?

Sign out of chrome, and not sign back in or (if possible idk) tell chrome not to upload your webtracks

Idk = I don't know thus, to repeat myself ;) , I have no clue if that's possible. I don't use chrome, but since one can tell Google's phone not to track/sync webtracks I'd assume they might place such in their PC browser.
