CCleaner and Outlook 2016

Recommended Posts

I am running Windows 10 Pro and Office 365 2016 with Outlook 2016.

CCleaner Pro is version 5.25.5902 (64bit)

The problem seems to be caused when CCleaner cleans the browser (any browser) after closing and I switch back to Outlook. Pictures are no longer displayed and I have to stop and start Outlook to get them back?

I have posted this on the Outlook forum but they have no idea what is causing it. The situation has been caused each time I see the browser cleaned message from CCleaner.

Any ideas?

Welcome @ftutone,

in CC, on the Applications tab, check you have any entry starting with Office unticked.

give that a whirl and see it it helps.

if not, back in CC on the Windows tab, under the Internet Explorer entry, untick Temporary Internet Files and History.  this is a test, if you will, to see if Outlook is sharing something with IE, you may not use IE but the two would share something somewhere.

try again and see if it makes a difference, if not you can re-tick those two IE options.

and to make sure it only happens when Outlook is opened, have you tried closing Outlook, running CC, and re-opening Outlook?

does it behave normally then?

do you use CC in conjunction with winapp2.ini or any other enhancements?
