marco838
We have a client reported problem with SQL server database, this after running ccleaner or defraggler. We checked and found out that the database files and folders are compressed, and it could not run as the files need to be uncompressed. After we set the files and folders to not compressed (in Properties > Advanced -> Compress contents to save disk space), it works. But again, client reported that it does not work again after running ccleaner or defraggler. My question is: Does the program do compressing and how to disable compression in ccleaner or defraggler? Grateful for any inputs.
Moderators mta Posted April 12, 2017 Moderators Share Posted April 12, 2017 G'day macro and welcome to the forums, I can't see Defraggler causing the issue. Has the client just run DF without running CC to see it the issue repeats? As to CC, I would set up an EXCLUDE (Options, Exclude, Add) of the Program Files folder for SQL. Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
