Cleaning Thumbnail Cache Not Working?

I run Windows 7 Home.

I'm trying to clean out the thumbnail images that show up in Windows Explorer, like these:

I thought I was doing so when I ran CCleaner, but when I select Analyze the Thumbnail Cache, it shows nothing to clean:

However, when I do the Disk Cleanup utility in Windows, it says there are thumbnails present, in this case, 145 MB worth:

Is this right? Could CCleaner see nothing when Windows sees something? Are they talking about two different things? If CCleaner is not cleaning up the thumbnail images in Explorer, what is it cleaning up?

CC looks for cached files here; %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer

perhaps Disk Cleanup looks for the thumbs.db files?
