swinno
Hi . I have just installed another SSD and updated Windows 10 onto this new SSD ;; My old SSD which I assume still has Windows 7 on it, needs to be Wiped Clean so that I can use it for Gaming only ... I know that there is a problem with formatting an SSD so my question is : Will the disc Wipe on CCleaner64 be able to clean my old SSD without causing me a problem ?? Regards Thanks
Moderators Nergal Posted August 3, 2016 Moderators Share Posted August 3, 2016 Just format the drive and run trim. SSD can only have a certain number of writes; using a disc wipe like ccleaner may lessen the lifespan of the drive ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
