OxyMoron Posted October 15, 2017 Share Posted October 15, 2017 Ladies and Gentlemen and Others Cleaner is unable to recognize that Google Chrome is shut down. When I run Cleaner I receive message "Google Chrome must be closed down before Cleaner can proceed and do I want to" and do I want to close Google Chrome" I click on "YES" wait, then another message "Program taking long time to shut down. Do want to force it to shutdown? I click on "YES" again and then Cleaner continues to do it's cleaning duties. (I've paraphrased the text in the messages above.) This all started about a month or two ago. CCLeaner v. 5.35.6210 (64 bit) Google Chrome v. 61.0.3163.100 (Official Build) (64-bit) Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601 Please advise. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
