Billnes
Hello Piriform Staff, I can't get version 5.35 to install.. I'm running a 64 bit system, a Dell Optiplex 990. It's Second generation Core I5, Sandy Bridge. I don't have a a service to host an image so I'm going to try to copy the information, to the best of my ability Error opening file for writing: C:\Program Files\CCleaner\CCleaner64.exe Click Abort to stop the installation Retry to try again, or Ignore to skip this file. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much, Bill N. Long Island, New York

Error opening file for writing: C:\Program Files\CCleaner\CCleaner64.exe Click Abort to stop the installationRetry to try again, orIgnore to skip this file.Make sure all instances of ccleaner are exited, including monitoring, are ended (check task manager) If none running, or it still doesn't work, go to c:\program files\ccleaner and manually delete ccleaner 64.exe. Then click retry - or if, exited installer, rerun installer. Edit: what windows version are you using, you gave a bunch of unneeded info of your pc but left that detail out. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
