Moderators Nergal Posted January 26, 2012 Moderators Share Posted January 26, 2012 I have changed the title of this topic so it doesn't become a breeding ground for unrelated issues. Please list for us the following Operating System Version and Service Pack Level Version of Defraggler (do not say "latest version" as this information means nothing please type the version as it is listed in the about section of the help menu ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators DennisD Posted January 26, 2012 Moderators Share Posted January 26, 2012 The first thing which comes to mind is do you have the necessary services running for it to work? Task Scheduler Service: Event Viewer Service: Good visual explanation here, which although covering more problems than you have, may still be relevant... http://www.sevenforu...id-404-fix.html

menedas
I'm having the same problem. I'm running the portable version 2.14.706 on a winxp. When I change the user to the current it works. But not with the "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM". What could that be and how to solve?
Moderators DennisD Posted June 12, 2013 Moderators Share Posted June 12, 2013 I don't know too much about this, in particular running under "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM", but a quick google suggests that one of the reasons you can get issues is if you are trying to do this on a network. The suggestion is that the program may have to be on the computer/drive it is being ran on. Could this fit in with your setup, seeing as you're using Defraggler portable. There are a great many hits for ... Unable to run scheduled tasks under "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM": Others may be able to give better advice, but there's somewhere to start. Hope that may help. EDIT: Welcome to the forum by the way menedas.
