Thanks for everyone’s help so far in trying to fix the bugs we’re finding. They seem to fall into 2 categories, but we’re not 100% sure that there are just 2 causes.

We’re busy working on an improved tracing version which we’ll be PMing to people in the next few days.

I'm running the latest version on 2 pc's both are win2k sp4 fully patched etc on one machine Recuva works fine no problems at all that I can see.
However on the other pc Recuva works fine for drives other than C:, on the c drive it will either hang & do nothing nedding to be killed to start again, or, it will zap straight through the drive & find nothing, if I then scan my other drives (after the nothing find) it does the same for all my other drives.
I've tried re installing, tried installing on a different drive all have the same problem.
Any ideas?

We're working on this and some other related bugs right now. Can you run ver 26 in debug mode (recuva.exe /debug) and post the error log.

OK I did that look forward to your reply in time
