After having installed the latest version of CCleaner, it automatically installed a Yahoo toolbar. Now I have nothing against Yahoo, but I just don't like to many toolbars, and I don't like having something installed without my permission. Now I've uninstalled it from the add/remove programs in the control panel, although it won't leave my Firefox 2.0 browser. It's not in my I.E. browser however...does anyone know how I can get rid of it.....Thanks! unsure.gif

You should have had a choice during the install but to avoid the whole issue, always use the Basic or Slim versions available here Other Builds.

EDIT: Sorry, no suggestion re: FF.

Don't know if this may help Nick with the firefox issue

Check to see if its listed in your extension list.
CCleaner doesn't install the yahoo toolbar for firefox, only Internet Explorer.(or last time I checked anyway..)

If you just cant figure it out, back up your bookmarks, write down your extensions, and then make a new profile.
Here is how:

Not to criticize, Nick, but you did give it permission to install. I've been caught by that before, too. Once. Personally I don't like the way it installs by default, but you can opt out during the installation, if you read the info on what you're installing.
