Hi Crap Cleaners!

First of all, a big compliment to the author(s). CCleaner is one of the essential tools in my book. Great work and a big thank you for the hours spent coding!

One bug that I'm experiencing for the last 2 versions is that IE Cookies get deleted even if I don't select them for cleaning. Is that a known bug? I'm a bit surprised that it's still in the current release. Btw, IE7 here, but I think it happened with IE6 too.

In CCleaner did you enable the cookies to be kept by going into:
Options->Cookies, then highlighting the Cookies to Delete, then clicking the -> button to move them over into the Cookies to Delete area.

Hi Andavari! And thanks. wink.gif

I didn't do that. But I think it would make sense that the cookies are not deleted if you don't selected them in the Cleaner Settings. I'm pretty sure it worked that way in earlier versions (1.34 IIRC).

The way I understand it is that the Options->Cookies settings should allow you to keep only certain cookies. But if you don't choose to remove cookies in the Cleaner Settings, then they should all be kept.

Oops, I just noticed I goofed up, the Cookies to Keep instructions (fixed):

I don't exactly know what's happening in that area since other people are also having some cookie problems with them getting wiped out - so hopefully "if it's a bug" it can be fixed in the next version since it's probably came to the developers attention with all the bug related cookie threads.
