Ok I know dvd decrypter is no longer being updated and no longer being made. I was wondering what is the best dvd decrypter to download now?

I was never a big decryptor user. I always like dvd shrink better(which later was crippled and turned into a part of nero). You can find shrink here:

The problem with shrink is that since its not been updated in a while it cant rip the newer dvds. I haven't had any problems since I don't make back ups that often but I've heard you can use this program to rip and then resize with shrink.

Here is another useful site for all your Video help, info and tools. I use AnyDVD alone with Shrink for my DVD's and AnyDVD works with CD's also it's not free but it's small runs in the background and has always worked great.

Apparently its a kind of add on for decryptor to make able to rip newer copy protected dvds.

Seems you have to use 4 different programs to decrypt your DVD with RitIt4Me. RipIt4Me with DVD Decrypter installed along with the FixIt add on and then DVD Shrink installed to do the edit then burn the DVD. Free is nice but thats alot of steps and alot of time.

More programs? Yes. More time? Not really.
DVDs are slow to rip with all programs, but dvd shrink is awesome at editing the dvds and is probably the easiest one to use as well.

I agree I have used DVD Shrink for years when it stoped being updated I purchased AnyDVD it runs in the background while your ripping you DVD with Shrink and upgrades are free for life. So all I have to do is rip the DVD selct main title and burn. I installed RipIt4Me program tried it out but then you have to have DVD Decrypter and FixIt and DVD Shrink all installed to get the same results. I like the KISS method whenever possible even on occasion I have to pay for a piece of software but its been well worth it. The RipIt4Me programs are great if you dont have another alternative.
