Actually, they have. That chip consumes 260W of power at IDLE.

Well, they said they needed water cooling (recommended) past 4 ghz...
I was looking at the article a few weeks ago and decided to check out the forums, some guys there pointed that out.

liquid cooling costs alot to refill. better not get a 4ghz processor just yet till they figured out a way to be cost efficient.

I think that a CPU is that consumes about 7x more power than most processors and may last only 2-3 years is not cost efficient to begin with.
