Hi!
I'm have Windows XP SP3 on AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+ 2.71GHz and 2GB RAM.

I wanted to reinstall my CCleaner 2.22.0.968 to the latest version. Unfortunately, there is a problem with the removal / replacement file ccleaner.exe.

The computer says it can not delete the file because it is used. Then I uninstalled from the Add / Remove Programs and removed the shortcut from the Startup. I opened regedit and removed all entries CCleaner and then restarted the computer. Unfortunately my problem persists.

What should I do?

Excuse me but a little to make haste. After renaming the file and reboot the computer removed ccleaner.exe. Thanks Andavari. Topic to the trash. :/

What are you doing when you get the error message?

What are you trying to delete as you say you have already uninstalled cleaner?

Also have you tried doing whatever you are doing in safe mode?
