hey guys latest release of firefox just arrived..now it's been good for now.
my question is .do we have to remove or disable the DRM from microsoft as the picture shows? or not

i wass reading about this like a couiple of weeks ago..
so please let me know.

it was always disable in my FF for a long time since I didn't know exactly what is for.

i don't even find a correct answer from fitrefox...

Next released FF (v.3.6)will have built in plugin check.This time you can check plug in vulnerability at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ or wait until next release

from whai read this is to update plugins...not to check vulnerabilities...

In the future, Firefox will update plugins for you. Until then, you should regularly check this page and update your Plugins to stay safe.

I always disable those DRM plugins.

I think you would only need them if you purchase and download protected media with Windows Media Player.

I also disabled that one the moment it appeared, which was just recently.

There's nothing that can really be added to the opinion most people already have about MS and their deviousness, it just pays to try and be aware of what's part of an installed program, or in this case, a browser.

There's another plugin that's installed in Firefox without you knowing about it until you happen to check your add-ons, and that's a completely unnecessary iTunes plug-in.

My daughter uses iTunes, but we have no need for this at all, and didn't ask for it.



From various stuff I've read about the DRM plugins, it appears to be pointless uninstalling them, which is possible, but apparently they just turn up again.

I haven't tried that, but I could well believe it.

so that's clear,is a microsoft tactic...
then it happens too in opera,another DRM.....
like 3 weeks ago i saw an application by google chrome , a plugin that advertise increase speed in IE8...think is called google frame.BUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..at least they'll let you know.
so god know what else...

read in another dorum that firefox got an update today,,,maybe plugin,don't know exactly...
