Hi, just installed the slim version of 2.25 and was clicking through the options (always looking for any visual differences), and when I clicked on "Tools", I got an Unexpected Error dialog. I did click Report but couldn't tell if it actually did anything so I'm reporting it manually here. The contents of the dialog are:

QUOTE
AtlThrow: hr = 0x80070057

CCleaner v2.25.1025
MS Windows 7 Ultimate
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+
4.0GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series

CInstallationEnumAsync::Run

Dialogs attached:

I notice that the Uninstall list is empty which is probably related. FYI I am on Windows 7 RTM Ultimate x86. If I click on Startup or System Restore and then click on Uninstall again, the dialog pops up. Interestingly, if I leave it on Uninstall and then choose, for example, Registry, and then click on Tools again, the dialog does NOT pop up.

I'm getting the same error

OS: Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
CCleaner version: Any version built after 05/2009

I think the error comes from Microsoft Active Template Library for C++ COM programming.

I sense DLL Hell. It could be that some objects have incorrect entry in registry or have been overwritten.

It started to happen after I installed VMware Workstation 7.0 RC and lately final.

Ah. I have VMWare Workstation (did have the v7 beta installed and now the final), too. Thanks for the reply.

I'm exactly the same problem, so I installed the program on VMware "windows 7 ultimate" tool to uninstall programs window displays the error reported in the above post. Any solution?
