Hello
I like very much CCleaner. I've been using it for a long time, probably almost since it appeared. I would like to make a suggestion. I think it it would be useful to add to the windows/advanced tab the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder.
I always empty that folder and had no problems so far. I am a network admin in a small company and had the opportunity to empty that folder on many Windows versions without any visible problems.

I used to think no to having that in CCleaner because it's been requested before. However I'm more in line with your thinking now as that folder can be the cause of some trouble. For instance emptying that folder has the ability to sometimes allow some failed Windows Updates to finally install successfully.
It gets my vote, hopefully the devs will think about it.

Gets my vote too, although I think it was Glen posted recently that Windows does clear this folder out occasionally.

I have added this to my Options/Include list :-
C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download\*.*
Unless I am (UN)installing something that requires a reboot to complete,
I will shut down the computer by launching CCleaner in /AUTO /SHUTDOWN mode,
and that ensures any sneaky Microsoft updates are zapped before they can install on shutdown.
