I agree RunAsDate is nice tool, but thing is I needed the Norton Removal for my neighbour this morning.
Also shouldn't need two tools for one job.
Hopefully Nortons Tool will be fixed in the next day or so

Yes, but you are dealing with Symantec are you not. You need a whole arsenal of tools sometimes to deal with their software at uninstall time.
You could try
Revo Uninstaller
on it - just remembered that tool.

isn't this why no one users Norton any more?
Tbh i am suprised they get any users with all the slating they get.

same thing with eset..to remove or makes it dissapear is really hard.

That's why I consistently bring up the point of using installation watching programs like Total Uninstall and/or ZSoft Uninstaller.

Version 2009.0.5.41 is now available on the Symantec / Norton site. No idea if it resolve the problem.

Yes Glenn, according to the Norton forums they have just updated it.
Now I will free my neighbour from a broken Norton
