I'm on my laptop. I just had my first blue screen on it, but I think it was something to do with the LiveStream.com video code on an online forum, because I logged in, then right when the page was about to refresh back to the thread with the video, the blue screen appeared. I also just installed the new x64-based Vista updates from yesterday. I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit.

I used Hijackthis.de to read my log and it said there was one "spyware" related component(O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [Launcher] %WINDIR%\SMINST\Components\scheduler\Launcher.exe) that should be removed and many unnecessary entries. I'd like to get some feedback from you guys on those items.

Also, for what it's worth, I run scans multiple times a week with Spybot, AVG Free, Super Anti-Spyware, and I also update Spyware Blaster frequently.

EDIT: I just had another blue screen when I removed my USB thumbdrive.

I just tried running The Comedian and AVG says it is a "Trojan Horse BackDoor.SmallX.VX". Should I continue to use it?

I continued without The Comedian. TFC removed about 90MB. My anti-virus, AVG, didn't detect anything after I ran Anti- Malware. Here is the log from it:

I'll also note that I haven't had the Blue Screen during this whole time.

I don't mean to bump this again already, but I think something with my video card is what's causing the BSOD. The first time I got the BSOD, I was attempting to watch an embeded video from Livestream.com. When I removed my USB drive and USB mouse(I leave it plugged in all the time, even with the laptop turned off), I get a few quick horizontal lines across the screen as if the picture was being stretch in the little lines. Then, the BSOD pops up. I noticed the main STOP code(there were quite a few in parenthesis) was *zeros*7E. I Googled the 7E code and it appears to be a video card problem, possibly an ATI card- which I have.

I tried updating a few USB drivers and my video card driver in the Device Manager, but they were already up-to-date.

EDIT: Problem solved. I continued searching Google and found another forum where some people in the UK were having the same, exact problem on the same, exact laptop(crazy?). Apparently, it was from one of the four updates I installed this morning that was causing conflicts with my USB controllers. I love you Microsoft.

I kept searching Google and finally found another forum where many people were having the same problem, and it turned out to be related to a conflict from one of Windows' updates. I removed the update and everything is fixed, no more blue screen.
