Hi - yes this is a rookie move - this is my first time using CCleaner and I've over cleaned. How do I restore everything I cleaned? I tried to find the .reg file in my documents but I don't see any .reg files created today on my compter when I do a search. unsure.gif

Thanks in advance for the help!!

Hi Jezzy, and welcome to Piriform.

If you followed the CCleaner dialogue, and made the registry backup, then you need to look for a file which looks like this:

cc_20090112_030538.reg

You may have your folder settings configured to "hide extensions for known file types", which means the .reg association won't be visible.

Ahhhhhhh! Ok Thanks!!

UPDATED: biggrin.gif All is right in the world again! Thanks!!

Right-click on it and choose merge or just double click it.

If you didn't specify a different place when asked where you wanted to save the reg entries you deleted they should be in ''my documents''

Wrong one- CC erased temporary internet files during a routine cleaning that aborted a save game of a flash game I had invested some time in (gemcraft chapter zero-hours!). Is it gone?

Yes, if ccleaner is set to over write. if not you may be able to recova if you know the name of the file.

Since you're playing Adobe Flash based games you should also untick/disable the cleaning of Adobe Flash Player in: Cleaner->Applications->Multimedia
