I read on amazon that Toshiba MK8025GAS is awful. I've had personal experience too. What other HDs will fit in to that spot

Is that what you are talking about? Well, it is a 2.5 inch harddrive, so I'm assuming it's a laptop harddrive. Well, go to Newegg and look here -->Newegg Laptop Harddrives. Click on the left size for price and size comparisons. Do you need a new harddrive for a laptop?

Anything specific? Size? Speed? Cause the faster the spin speed, the better the performance, but the more battery it will use. However, 4200 is way too slow. 5400 is the minimum speed, and 7200 is the speed desktop hard drives spin (for the most part- exceptions are mainly the WD Raptor line which spin at 10000 RPM, and SCIS drives, but you don't have to worry about that).
