Is there a chance you will add the recovery of .mts avchd / avchd lite files to recuva ?
and related like .mt2

I used a panasonic lumic TZ7
and stupidly formatted the sdhc card.
As you will understand already, before backing up the complete content. :'(

I'm keeping the card locked / unchanged until I can recover these mts files

You can specify your own user selected file extensions for it to search for:

The (non-free) Cardrecovery software did find .mts files.
So I know the .mts files still can be found on my sdhc card.

Only the paid Cardrecovery version lets you actually recover.
But I prefer to use a free solution.


In recuva I tried to specify the .mts extension, but nothing was found
(also nothing in deepscan)

No mentioning of .mts

Later (and also earlier) version changes do *not* mention adding the
.mts format

Therefore I have to assume it is not yet supported.

I was under the impression that if Recuva can scan a device it will return anything it finds regardless of extension (this is scanning without using the wizard). After all it's just a stream of data to Recuva, isn't it?

Did you do a deep scan of the entire disk (i.e. no filters) and then enter .mts in the Filename box? If so you will get nothing returned as you enter the dot or the m or t. but when you add the s the list pops up. Or just enter mts without the dot. I'm sure you've tried all the variations but just checking to be sure.

If the "index" of the file isn't overwritten it can be recover regardless the extension but if the "index" IS overwritten then it can be recovered only if it is a supported type and cardrecovery support it =>
