What's the best way to control the order of loading-- and/or delay -- startup items at bootup?

I don't really want to disable or remove startup items -- just rearrange the way they load -- or possibly even delay some of them.

OK - I've got it!! I took a look at the WP site and it didn't appear to do what what I was asking. Maybe I just missed it. Sorry.

I'm the one who should be apologizing for not specifically mentioning that with WP you can indeed delay start apps.
