Hi there...I have used C Cleaner for a couple of years now and it has aways downloaded in the blink of an eye and with no problems. I have two laptops and the new C cleaner v2.13 downloaded as per usual this morning on my first laptop..but the second one here refuses!
I keep getting told "error opening file for writing" and if I tell it to ignore..of course I land up with no new version! As an OAP comparative "newby" where am I going wrong, folks? I have deleted and re-downloaded with the same result....eek!!

You could try downloading from a different site. I just downloaded v 2.13 from Piriform and had no problems.

Many thanks larry39....it is actually Piriform I always use.
However, for some weird reason on THIS occasion it wouldn't play ball...until I got cross and deleted all versions- did a restart and downloaded afresh....no problem THEN!! No idea why - but I'll know in future - should the problem recur! Thank goodness my other laptop behaved itself. It's true what they say ---old fogies and new technology don't always mix!
