While I was using CCleaner, I found that CCleaner didn't recognize the size of system RAM correctly.

System Properties show that I have 2.75GB of RAM, but CCleaner says only 2.0GB.

Both CCleaner 1.20 and recently released 1.21 on my system have the same problems.

I understand that this doesn't affect anything, but still it's a bug. :-)
Tarun
Funny how 1.21 isn't released yet.

It has been just released. :-)

This is the official site and it says coming soon.

yup... coming soon... maybe CCleaner only display up to a maximum of 2GB of RAM... possible?

Memory detection via Win32 api is sketchy [and therefore approximated], because it does not include shadowed/shared RAM. I was told that CCleaner rounds to the nearest power of 2. (1.99 gets rounded to 2048, 2.0 GB)

And someone leaked it on the Neowin site and other places.

I have also tried on WinXP x64 with 4GB ram, but CCleaner shows I have 0GB RAM sad.gif
I didn't take the screenshot since I quickly reinstalled WinXP 32-bit.
Anyways, will it be fiexed in next release?
Thanks.

I wouldnt count on it. 64 bit windows is not a common thing to run right now and is still in beta. So, Mr.G will probably wait for it to be offically released and become more common before he bothers programming CCleaner for it.

I believe Windows XP x64 edition is officially released.
Beta testing of Windows XP x64 edition was done in last April. smile.gif
