Both this program and also the CleanUp program are unable to remove all the autocomplete entries for certain websites I've visited (they are not in my favorites or filenames of files in the desktop diretory). I actually had this problem for a larger set of websites. Using the CleanUp program I was able to successfully remove all the websites that had been stuck in autocomplete and could not be removed using the standard removal feature of IE.

However, my computer hung up some time ago and after I restarted my computer I noticed that the same problem had reappeared but this time CleanUp could not remove the entries. I then downloaded CCleaner to try to fix the problem. Unfortunately that wasn't successful either.

this sounds like a strange problem.. what operating system do you have? Vista? XP? and what version of IE?
have you tried simply disabling the AutoComplete feature altogether, within IE?

go to Tools > Internet Options > Content > Auto Complete
disable it from there.. then hit the buttons "Clear Forms/Passwords"

after that, close all IE windows, then run CCleaner
check all of the Internet Explorer options in CCleaner (cookies, history, autocomplete, ect..) and clean them all out

after all that, run IE again, and see if it fixes it

if that doesn't help.. then I have no clue.
maybe updating IE would fix it?
