Hi,

You have a virus/worm startup entry present which we can address first but with the log also showing the Internet Download Manager is a cracked version, Id suggest you uninstall it and install a clean version from the developers website if its something you want to use as cracked software and sites that host them are often very malicious, its really up to you if you want to keep it on the system though but I wouldnt run any cracked software on myown as I know how much damage they can cause,

Run HijackThis and choose Do A System Scan then place a check next to this entry

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Windows MSN] C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\MSN.msn

Close all open browser and other windows except for HijackThis and press the Fix Checked button

Download Flash_Disinfector.exe from here

http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/s...Disinfector.exe

Run the tool and follow the on screen prompts

Next download this file - combofix.exe and save it to your desktop.
Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
When it's finished, it will produce a log of what it found. Please post the contents of that log in your next reply

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running as it may cause it to stall

Finally run Kaspersky WebScanner
  • Please go HERE and click Kaspersky Online Scanner
  • Read and Accept the Agreement
  • You will be promted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
  • If you see a Windows [dialog asking if you want to install this software, click the Install button.
  • The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files,
  • When the "Update progress" line changes to "Ready" and the "NEXT ->" button becomes available, please click on it.
  • Click on the Scan Settings button, and in the next window select the Extended database, and click Ok.
  • Under "Please select a target to scan:", click My Computer to start the scan.
  • When the scan is finished, click the "Save as Text" button, and save the file as kavscan.txt to your Desktop, close the Kaspersky On-line Scanner window.

Please then post back the Combofix log, Kaspersky log and a new HijackThis log

Cheers
puppyz

Hi puppyz

Goto Start > Run > and copy and paste

C:\DOCUME~1\ALLUSE~1\APPLIC~1\

Press OK to open the Application data folder then delete these folders

meet time hold mode
Mode Rule 64 Inter

Then delete these files:

C:\Documents and Settings\josephw\Desktop\James\AutoClickers\Adbux Auto Clicker.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\josephw\Desktop\James\AutoClickers\Bux.to Auto Clicker.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\josephw\My Documents\My Received Files\autoclickers.zip
C:\Documents and Settings\josephw\My Documents\My Received Files\New Folder.rar

As the clickers are in a folder on your desktop then you likely already know they are there and what they are for but as Kaspersky is detecting them as trojan clickers Id suggest they be deleted or the complete folder is thats all it contains, Same with the New Folder.rar, its being detected as not-a-virus:Client-IRC.Win32.mIRC which isnt a problem if its been installed by you but as its in your received files folder then it suggests its been sent via an IM program so its safer to delete it rather than risk having an open backdoor if its been modified by whoever sent it to you. mIRC can easily be reinstalled from the authors homepage if its something you want to use http://www.mirc.com/

Open notepad (Start Menu > Run > type notepad and press ok) then copy and paste the contents of the code box into Notepad making REGEDIT4 the top line.
CODE
REGEDIT4

Goto File on the top bar of Notepad and choose Save As, on the Save As Type area change it to all files then name it fix.reg and save it to your desktop, double click fix.reg(or right click and choose Merge) and allow it to be merged into the registry which will remove the entries.

Then clear your system restore points

Click Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > SystemRestore

Choose Create a Restore Point then click Next. Name it and click Create, when the confirmation screen shows the restore point has been created click Close.

Next goto Start Menu > Run > type

cleanmgr

Click OK, Disk Cleanup will open and start calculating the amount of space that can be freed, Once thats finished it will open the Disk Cleanup options screen, click the More Options tab then click Clean up on the system restore area and choose Yes at the confirmation window which will remove all the restore points except the one we just created. Then press OK to clear the temp files found in the initial scan and close Disk Cleanup

Download Deljob.exe and save it on your desktop.
Doubleclick Deljob.exe and follow any on-screen prompts. A log, (logit.txt) should open after its finished and also save to your desktop. Post the contents of the logfile in your next reply.

Then run a different scanner to make sure there's no remaining probelms

Run Panda Activescan from Here.

Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
- A new window will open...click the Check Now button
- Enter your Country
- Enter your State/Province
- Enter your e-mail address and click send
- Select either Home User or Company
- Click the big Scan Now button
- If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
- It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan
(Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
- When the download is complete, click on Local Disks to start the scan
- When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location so you can post it back.

Cheers

Andy

So..any replies? btw, every time when i wanna launch my live messenger, an error saying that Loader.exe couldn't be found..i know from the web that this is a backdoor's infection, but i dont seem to be able to delete it sad.gif
AndyManchesta
Hi puppyz

Sorry for the delay in replying, my internet connection was down for a week while my provider did some repairs so Ive been trying to catch up since it came back online sad.gif

Your current logs are looking ok, Just a couple of things to remove

Delete these folders:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\flagwindowdashtray

C:\Documents and Settings\josephw\Application Data\DARTAMOKSUPPORT

The LOP malware on your PC would of likely came when you installed Messenger Plus and agreed to the sponsor as its also showing a Messenger Plus folder in the NoLop results, you may want to consider removing Messenger Plus from the Add/Remove screen and enabling the option for it to uninstall the sponsor at the same time to make sure its fully removed from your system. Regarding the Loader.exe error, alot of web results will show the loader.exe is different things as Im sure alot of legit programs and malware would use that filename so its possibly something different on your system, check if its still doing it after Messenger Plus is removed and try reinstalling your Live Messenger if it is to see if it solves the problem,

There's more info on Messenger Plus here

http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/answers/43.html

And LOP here

http://www.bitdefender.com/VIRUS-226716-en...Swizzor.EM.html

Let us know how it goes

Cheers
puppyz
its ok,Andy wink.gif

anyway, i get rid of the error already myself, with the help of browsing through the internet for 2 hours laugh.gif

Error Nuker is a registry cleaning program from here http://www.errornuker.com/ , is it still installed ?

QUOTE
By the way, i'm using a crack version of ad-aware, is it ok?

Personally I wouldn't use any cracked software on my pc because I know how malicious the sites that host them and the people who make them are, if a program has been modified to bypass registration then its impossible to be sure what other changes may of also been made to the program, for example being modified to open a backdoor on the pc to allow the attacker access or modified to steal information etc.., If it was my pc then Id remove it from the add/remove screen and delete the Lavasoft folder then install the free version from Lavasofts website if I didnt want to pay for the professional versions so that I can be sure its clean and can be trusted.

Apart from that it looks fine, let us know if Error Nuker is still installed or if its not then check if its listed on the Add/Remove screen or at C:\Program Files\Error Nuker

Cheers
puppyz

Its normal for HijackThis to show (no name) next to certain entries and its fine to ignore, it just takes the information from the registry so if there is a name showing in the reg keys it would show that in the log,

QUOTE
O23 - Service: IBM PSA Access Driver Control (PsaSrv) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\PsaSrv.exe (file missing) << is this unusual?

Its not unusual for HijackThis to show (file missing) even when the file actually exists but that tends to happen more if there's switches in the service filepath such as -service or /service and it can do it with some other entries if the full filepath isnt showing in the registry key so hijackthis cannot find the file so generally (file missing) entries should be ignored.

For this entry though you could search for the file and see if it is in System32,

Goto Start > Run > Search
Click All Files and Folders
Then scroll down to More Advanced options and place a check next to Search system folders, Search hidden files and folders and Seach subfolders
Then scroll back up to the All or part of the file name: area and enter this to be searched for then click Search

PsaSrv.exe

If its not in System32, check if you have any other copies of the file on the PC then copy the file back into the system32 folder

Apart from that it looks fine but let us know how the PsaSrv.exe search goes,

Cheers

Hi,Andy, thanks for replying. Anyway,i did what you asked me to, search for the PsaSrv.exe and then copy the file into the system32 folder, seems that that's settled laugh.gif

Registered to:

Die!Die!Die

Try This,

Goto Start > Run > type regedit and press OK

When the registry editor opens

Click the [+] next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Click the [+] next to SOFTWARE
Click the [+] next to Microsoft
Click the [+] next to Windows NT

Finally after clicking the [+] next to Windows NT you will see a subkey named CurrentVersion, left click the CurrentVersion key and it will display alot of values on the right pane including Registered Owner and Registered Organization

Before making any changes to the key, make a backup of it first by right clicking the Current Version subkey and choosing Export, this will then allow you to save a backup so that if any mistakes are made you can double click the backup reg key and allow it to be merged to restore the data

The Registered Owner value will likely show JambanMuV2 so you can then double click the Registered Owner value or right click the Registered Owner value and choose Modify then type in the name that it was before you got infected and click OK,

For the Registered Organization value, if it has also been changed by the infection then restore it to the name you used when installing Windows, if you didn't have an Registered Organization name present then you can simply double click the value to modify it and then remove any name that is present and click OK,

To make sure there is no remaining malware problems please run AVG Antispyware and post back the log

Download AVG Anti-Spyware
  • Load AVG and then click the Update tab at the top. Under Manual Update click Start update.
  • After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")
  • Click on the Scanner tab at the top and then click on Complete System Scan
  • AVG will list any infections found on the left, when the scan has finished, it will automatically set the recommended action. Click the Apply all actions button. AVG will then display "All actions have been applied" on the right.
  • Click on "Save Report", then "Save Report As". This will create a text file which you can then save to the Desktop and post back
Let us know if you have any problems,

Cheers

Hi,Andy,i did the changes already laugh.gif and also the scan,it detected like 58 malware and 1 trojan, and actions were taken to delete them..but unfortunately it wasnt able to generate a report as the 'save report' button cannot be clicked..i also dunno why..but anyway, thanks for everything that u've done for me so far,i really appreciate them laugh.gif

Thanks,Puppyz
AndyManchesta
Hi puppyz,

Its fine if you couldnt save the report if it removed everything it found and shows clear on another scan, your logs now look fine but let me know if there's any remaining problems on the pc,

I'll add afew basic steps below to hopefully help prevent further infections,

Keep AVG Antispyware on the system as it shows its a 30 day trial but it works fine after that has expired as a "On-Demand" scanner and remover which you can manually update and use anytime.

In order to protect against spyware, consider installing and running the following free programs if they are not already installed:

Spybot-Search & Destroy
A tutorial on using Spybot to remove spyware from your computer may be found here. Please also remember to enable Spybot's "Immunize" feature.

Spywareblaster
SpywareBlaster can help prevent malware installing by adding hundreds of malicious sites to the restricted zone of IE and blocking the common spyware ActiveX controls which prevents the installation of any of them via webpages.
A tutorial on using SpywareBlaster may be found here.

Make sure to run your Antivirus software regularly, and to keep it up-to-date and also make sure your windows has the latest updates: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/
  • Avoid illegal sites such as warez, cracks, serials etc... because that's where most malware is present.
  • Don't click on any links inside popups, Spam email messages or Instant Messenger programs.
  • Download free software only from sites you know and trust
More information to help prevent malware can be found Here and Here

Cheers

Hi,Andy

i'm just wondering, currently i'm using superantispyware and the Avg Anti-spyware..does two anti-spyware stack together? By the way, should i change my superanti-spyware to spybot that u introduced to me?

Thanks,
Puppyz

If you still have questions about which is best then Id suggest starting a topic on the software forum so other members can give their views, Ive never used SuperAntispy but Im sure it does a great job and it is fine to have more than one Antispyware program installed and a good idea these days as each program may detect things that some of the others miss so its really a case of finding what works best for you,

Cheers
