Can it not be uninstalled via Windows own Add/Remove programs list (Click start>Click Control Panel>Click Add/Remove programs then find the program, select it and remove)?
You can do the exact same as the above using CCleaner (but if the above doesn't work CCleaner won't uninstall it either) - Open CCleaner>Click the Tools button>Click the Uninstall button>Find Driver Cleaner in the list>Select it and click the 'Run uninstaller' button.

Let us know if it can't be uninstalled using the above methods smile.gif

(By the way, there are several programs called Driver Cleaner, are you able to tell us which one you are having difficulty with)

ADD/REMOVE WONT WORK BECAUSE IT DOESN'T SHOW UP--------AND OF COURSE NOW I KNOW WHY I CAN REMOVE IT WITH CCleaner..(MAYBE-)----AND I CANT FIND IT- BUT IT POPPED YESTERDAY -SO IT IS STILL WITH ME.....FIRST WITH A RETANGULAR WINDOW THAT TAKES ABOUT ONE FIFTH OF MY SCREEN...REMINDING ME OF ALL THE PORN SITES I HAVE VISITED AND THE INCRIMINATING TRIAL I HAVE LEFT.......NEXT A WEB SITE FOR DRIVECLEANER ...IT ALSO DOES NOT SHOW UP IN HIJACK THIS.....NEXT TIME IT DOES IT....I WILL GET THE URL THEN I WILL HAVE A BEAD ON IT.........AND YOU TOO. IF YOU THINK YOU CAN HELP......THANK YOU

Your computer is infected with spyware. Post a hijackthis log in the hijackthis log section of the forum and I'll help you clean it up. smile.gif

Hi everybody,
I don't know very much of computers but I also have the same problem removing DriveCleaner 2006, in my case is also not showing himself anywhere, not even CCleaner seems able to found it, but I think is slowing down my pc and sometimes I get strange windows of errors. Only spybot found it but unfortunatly is not able to remove it. Anyway it says that is a PUPS is in the Registry Keys and give me this address.

DriveCleaner 2006[SBI$7E4FBD6E] ID di classe
H-KEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\InprocServer32

Do you think is possible to remove it????? unsure.gif

Ahh...I did try to get the log with HijackThis but for some reason it doesn't work, I followed the instruction but come always out that is unable to connect. sad.gif

Thanks all
