using winxp sp2 on an 500mhz emachine.

installed CCleaner latest version and it doesnt seem to do much towards cleaning. if i tell it to analyze, i see the blue progress bar for a longggg time (slow computer) eventually it said about 800meg could be deleted, just using the standard settings. i tell it to go ahead and run. i finally got tired of waiting so i came back hours later. nothing showed that it was done, and got a message that it wasnt responding when i tried to exit/cancel.

the computer is a dog and i hoped CCleaner would help. i have no idea if it starts and then stops at some point because i am seeing no progress bar activity. is there a log file someplace i could look at to see if anything is happening.

It "may" be the amount of junk files you have in your temp folder which you can manually clean out.

To open your temp folder just click Start, Run, type in: %temp%
then hit Enter.
