[Whiteshark]

This isn't a CCleaner bug, since i can't delete this entry neither manually in Regedit.
Clicking it in Regedit i get the error "Impossible open .wmd. Error opening the key"
Tried everything, also a program called RegKiller, but no way
It's not a big trouble, but i'm just curious about this strange behaviour...

May be someone knows what mean the - symbol near the key name in CCleaner?

WMD, Weapon of Mass Destruction?

In RegEdit try this on that key (Type 1):
1. Right click it and select Permissions.
2. If Full Control is disabled tick it, click Apply, then click OK to exit Permissions.
3. Try to delete the key again.

If the above doesn't work

In RegEdit try this on that key (Type 2):
1. Right click it and select Permissions.
2. Click Add, then under 'Enter the object names to select' type in: Administrators
3. Then click OK to exit Permissions.
4. Try to delete the key again.

Wonder it's related to Media Player.
Another .wpl was deleted using RegKiller.

In this way i get a... typical Microsoft warning, very understandable as usual:
"The user is not allowed to view this entry, but is allowed to edit it"

No way
Clicking OK i get an Access Denied error.

Note: I'm the only user/admin, no other accounts setted on my PC.

I looked up that key on my system and it is related to wmplayer.exe, and it's deletable on my system however I still use Windows Media Player 10.

Well since you are the Admin and it still won't let you remove the key setting the permissions on it I'm clean out of ideas. Maybe one of the malware removal experts know of some software or something else that can get rid of that key.

Partially solved giving permissions to "Admin (PCName\Username)".
The key is still undeletable, but at least it isn't anymore detected as "issue" by CCleaner.
Very nice, i can see again "no issues found" !

I used for some time MP10, then downgraded to MP9, maybe this is the origin of this behaviour.
